# Can I e-mail a password to a colleague?

## **NO**
An e-mail can be intercepted. If the e-mail contains a password, this poses a serious risk to our security. Also, never share passwords over unsecured platforms such as Messenger or WhatsApp.
**Which channel can I use?**
Use the **encrypted chat application Onetime Secret**.
