One Circet cannot happen without efficient and future-proof processes. Patrick Block manages Business Transformation processes across all levels of our organisation. Sustainability also involves organisational changes. Patrick shares the main projects with us.
Working more efficiently with insights from data
Uniform, standardized work processes and digital platforms are crucial for further growth and collaboration as One Circet. From the vast amount of data generated by our tools, we can also extract many insights to work even more efficiently.
“With Business Transformation, we work on projects across the entire organisation. In concrete terms, we bridge the gap between IT and business. We do this together.
A selection of ongoing projects within the Transformation Office:
- With the Bill of Quantity, we digitally register the performance and materials of our field activities as much as possible. This will lead to smoother, largely automated purchase orders and approved invoices with our subcontractors.
- We are also focusing on digital, smart logistics in our warehouses by digitally tracking all materials – centrally, with subcontractors, and on-site. The goal is to always have the right materials available at the right time and in the right
place.
- The Unifiber team is receiving support to integrate SiteTracker 2.0 into their operations. We are looking at the end-to-end process, from design and permits to construction and handover. We aim to maintain the same
working method across all fiber programs.
- Together with the technology start-up Deepomatic, we are setting up a pilot project to work more cost-effectively using AI and photo recognition.
- We are creating business intelligence by connecting, visualizing, and making as many data sources available as possible. This is crucial for the current functioning of our business and its improvement.
Making our organization more sustainable
We want to show that financial growth can perfectly align with a strong sense of responsibility in terms of ecology and society. Patrick: 'Over the past year, there were no fewer than 40 initiatives focused on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance). The sustainability transformation of our organization is a major change we are currently undergoing.'
Here are some notable projects and launches that you will still hear about in 2025:
- Circet4Communities: As a Circet colleague, you can volunteer for a few hours during work hours. Through the Give a Day platform, you can choose the charity you want to support, either individually or as a team. One of the initiatives we participated in as an organization was the World Cleanup Day. A group of colleagues collected 500 kg of litter around our offices.
- Pilot Project EV Vans: 40% of the passenger cars within Circet are already electric. However, the electrification of our vans and trucks is much more challenging. This is because we cover long distances and need to transport a lot of weight. The TEAPlus team – which installs digital meters on behalf of Fluvius – tested a number of EV vans, with success! This year, we will continue testing to make our fleet of vans more environmentally friendly.
- Women@Circet: Sustainability also means having an inclusive workplace. We aim for more gender equality within our organization, particularly with more women in leadership positions. As part of Women@Circet, we will continue to organize events and workshops throughout 2025.
- Climate Fresk Workshops: Colleagues learn more about the issues of climate change and how we can reduce our own ecological footprint.
- Through training, fake phishing emails, and other actions, we continue to focus on cybersecurity. One careless click can have dramatic consequences...
