We want to leverage our digital tools and processes even more

Digitalisation helps us work more efficiently and smarter. In recent years, we have therefore invested heavily in digital tools and systems. Now is the time to get even more out of it.

Working smarter with more control

“To make our lives easier, we have invested in digital tools and processes, such as SiteTracker and Bill of Quantity,” our CEO Bavo De Cock informs us. “In 2026, we will continue with the digitalisation of our processes, because we are convinced that technology can help us move forward. With IT and AI, we can work even smarter and maintain even better control over our projects. Much better than the competition.”

BOQ roll-out in our Mobile business

For our CTO Patrick Block, digitalisation is already yielding concrete benefits. "Just think of the efficiency gains from using SiteTracker. The same goes for Bill of Quantity (BOQ). We use this process to record the work performed and materials used in our field operations digitally as much as possible. This generates smoother, largely automated purchase orders and approved flows for subcontractor invoices."

In 2025, the focus was primarily on digitising processes within Fiber-to-the-Home, Homes Passed, and Home Connect,” says Patrick. “And we are already noticing results. For example, our ‘first time right’ score is already improving. In 2026, we will overhaul Mobile and roll out BOQ there as well."

Improving tools by using them

Finally, our CFO Gert De Win makes an appeal to all colleagues: “All of us can play a part in getting the most out of our digital tools. We also need to use the tools effectively, that's what really matters. It may seem obvious, but the reality tends to indicate otherwise. Even if the system or tool is not 100% perfect yet, use them anyway. The tool or process will be 80% okay. But user feedback is essential, precisely for that remaining 20%.”

In short, digitalisation is more than installing new software. It is primarily about how we use the tools together in our daily work. By actively using them and providing feedback, we can work more efficiently, save time and monitor our projects even better.
