Charging stations project coordinator Gregory: “I start every work day with a smile”
-
In #wearecircet we introduce both new recruits and seasoned professionals in our team. Meet Gregory Bosmans!
Function: charging stations project coordinator for company car drivers
Employed since: 2008
Site/department: Beringen
What do you like most about your job?
“I have a varied job as part of a fantastic team. In addition to 10 back-office employees, it consists of 30 technicians and their coaches who are on the go to carry out installations.
My manager guides me without wanting to control me, which gives me the freedom I need to do my job. All this ensures that I start work every morning with a smile, even though I can expect back-to-back meetings.”
“I have a varied job as part of a fantastic team.”
What are the biggest challenges?
“With our team we serve seven customers, who in turn work for just about every leasing company in Belgium. Each customer has its own wishes, technical specifications and associated status meetings.
Time management is without a doubt my biggest challenge at the moment. Fortunately, our division's system built on self-managing teams is running smoothly. They organise their work schedules and internal operations completely autonomously, which significantly reduces the amount of practical details I have to arrange.”
What are you particularly proud of?
“Of the IT infrastructure and our four-eyes principle which are instrumental in relieving our customers and the end customer from end to end. This really sets us apart from our competitors, who, one after the other, end these types of B2C installations. We share detailed reporting on all their installations with each of our charging stations clients on a daily basis.
Thanks in part to our systems such as ServiceCruiser, we are able to monitor every installation and thus guarantee its safety and quality. I often meet with colleagues from IT to see how we can serve our customers even better in terms of reporting.”
Which tip would you give a Circet newcomer?
“I started at Circet 15 years ago as a Telenet technician. Thanks to my managers at the time and the support of the Circet Academy, I rose to project coordinator. In other words: anything is possible; you can follow the direction you want here.”
“Circet is my first employer and I can see myself retiring here too.”
How do you help build the infrastructure of tomorrow?
“The charging stations business unit is still relatively new at Circet: it started three years ago with one technician and is currently growing exponentially. Every month we install some 1,000 charging stations at the homes of employees with a company car.
That's already quite a lot, and we continue to almost double our production and turnover quarter after quarter. And then most of the private car market has yet to break free. In short, with our division we are helping to make the shift to electric driving possible.”
Do you have any plans for the future?
“I have a people management course on my calendar. I think it's important to keep growing, even though my schedule is often busy. As I said, I am very satisfied with my job and my team. Circet is my first employer and I can see myself retiring here as well.”
