At Circet, we are working on the telecom infrastructure of the future, in which copper and fibre optic cables are certainly not to be missed. Thanks to a strong collaboration with subcontractor Samir Abidli of Genk-based Abisam, we are setting up those different forms of infrastructure. We look back on the journey we have made together so far.
Circet & Abisam
"I have been working for Circet since 2010, doing connections for customers in function of telephony and internet," says business manager of Abisam Samir Abidli. "These used to be only copper cables, now two years ago fibre-optic cables were added."
Samir: "Over the years, the scope of projects has expanded. Now we provide infrastructure from a to z, from the cabinet on the street to inside the customer's premises. We carry out projects for both residential and commercial customers. When it comes to vertical cabling for apartment buildings, we also have the necessary baggage."
Ingrid Wens, Operations Manager at Circet Infra and contact person for Abisam, agrees: "Abisam's quality work was a signal for us to expand the scope." "Samir and his team are multi-purpose. Being able to deploy people with such a wide range of skills across different units is a blessing for us," winks Ingrid.
Samir: "Carrying out the works is one thing, but communication and planning are at least as important. By engaging in dialogue with the client, we discover what really needs to be done and go through all the steps. We don't start the works until expectations are perfectly align ed."
Communication with Circet also goes both ways. "We as a subcontractor get feedback from the Circet coaches, but they also respond to our comments and suggestions from the shop floor," says Samir.
"We want customers to always be informed is every step of the way. Moreover, if they do not see afterwards that we have been there, our mission is completely successful."
