What'Sub: this is how Lost Minute thrives as a subco of Circet

In the What'Sub series, we give the floor to our subcos. They talk about their partnership with Circet and zoom in on their growth process over the years. In this testimonial, Lizette Blankestijn, Managing Director at Lost Minute, talks about how the partnership ensures stability and satisfied mechanics.

Carrousel_1 (2)-1What does your partnership with Circet look like?

Lizette: "For Circet Netherlands, we second installation engineers for VodafoneZiggo projects (in-home) and installation and service engineers for EV projects. The bulk of them are self-employed. We take care of everything: we manage the administration, arrange a company bus, provide the tools ...

When the mechanic is ready to go , they go to work for Circet. This always goes smoothly: payments are correct, schedules for our mechanics are efficient ... In addition, Circet offers truly diverse assignments, which keeps the work of our mechanics varied. And mechanics can move up to higher positions at the Circet Academy. All these things make Lost Minute a great, stable partner for our employees. As a result, we have very little turnover."

Your mechanics work on both in-home and EV projects. What benefit does it bring?

Lizette: "If there is less work on in-home projects, we can deploy mechanics on EV projects, and vice versa. This provides security for us and for Circet. And for our mechanics, of course: they are never without an assignment. Logically, they can retrain at the Circet Academy from in-home mechanic to charging station mechanic. That’s unbelievably valuable, as the demand for breakdown and maintenance engineers for charging stations continues to rise rapidly.

"When there is less work, we can retrain mechanics and assign them to other projects. That offers certainty."

Besides, it is not just mechanics who want to retrain because of the market, but also mechanics who want to advance. And in an exceptional case, even a completely different type of employees: couriers. In fact, we also second those workers. A few of them worked on a VodafoneZiggo project after a two-day training course. Some were even able to become installation engineers. So together with Circet, we give our employees the opportunity to do quite different work. Isn’t that beautiful?"

How do you feel about Circet offering these training programmes?

Lizette: "The Circet Academy is really a godsend for us. We are in close contact with the trainers: they keep us very well informed about individual learning paths. This way, we get to know our own employees before they start to work and can adjust where necessary. Before, we sent our mechanics to an external training institute for four weeks, hoping for the best. Now we can see how everybody evolves along their learning journey."

"Our mechanics can retrain at the Circet Academy. As a result, we have very little turnover."

Finally, how would you describe the partnership with Circet?

Lizette: "In one word: loyal. Circet invests a lot in us, and we give a lot in return. Besides, it never feels like we are sitting around the table with a client: we really are a team. Together, we get the job done."
